Everyone!
ZLI's Save a Billion Birds! Campaign supports real fixes to the bird collision crisis. Every bird matters one by one, and there aren't 30 birds a second to waste (the estimate of window strikes in the United States alone). ZLI's Little Birds Tax Relief Initiative is but one of our programs, but an effective one:
All proceeds developed by ZLI's Save a Billion Birds! Campaign and ZLI's Little Birds Tax Relief Initiative go towards funding our grants, scholarship programs, advocacy and services, such as project remediation and outreach initiatives.
No! Donors proceed as they would normally. ZLI waives its lien rights upon acceptance, meaning that any operational costs that would have been undertaken anyway by the donor now go forward as a tax deductible donation to the 501 c(3) for as long as the charity owns this element of their building as its property.
The process is simple, and follows IRS guidelines for in-kind donation procedures.
